Pat Houston has broken her silence on her niece, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death.

Details About Car Accident Bobbi Kristina Was In Days Before Bathtub Incident Reveal She Was ‘Anxious’ To See Nick Gordon

Houston, who is married to the brother of Bobbi Kristina’s late mother, Whitney Houston, has been accused of having some type of connection to Bobbi Kristina’s passing after she was found unconscious in her bathtub on Jan. 31. Bobbi Kristina ended up dying on July 26.

Now Houston is speaking out for the first time.

Deposition Claims Bobbi Kristina Abused Cocaine & Heroin Just Days Before Being Discovered In A Bathtub

She spoke with Kevin Frazier of Entertainment Tonight earlier this week. She said the family “was making plans to do something about” Bobbi Kristina’s troubled life amid reports that she was abusing drugs such as cocaine.

“It was a little too late,” Pat revealed.

Pat already had plans to send Bobbi Kristina to a rehab center in California, but then she was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her Roswell, Ga. home, ultimately leading to her death. The family has pointed the finger at Bobbi Kristina’s longtime boyfriend, Nick Gordon. A lawsuit against him claims that he injected her with a “toxic” drink to make her unconscious.

Pat and Gordon have never been on the best terms. She even filed a restraining order against him back in 2014.

Pat said, “We had a little hiccup with the restraining order. [Bobbi Kristina] didn’t understand it. Where the world saw she was mad and angry at me, she was texting me all along. I really tried to show her, you know, I’m gonna do this to let you know you don’t have to be afraid of anything. I got you. External attraction can really cause problems if you’re not careful.”

The Houston and Brown family is still trying to cope with Whitney’s death. She died in eerily similar circumstances on Feb. 11, 2012.

Pat has held a teen summit for victims of domestic violence.

“You don’t have to be afraid to speak out. You have to have self worth. You have to love yourself. You have to call on people and not allow someone to divide you and then conquer you.”
