Leah Messer reportedly lost custody of her twins due to her inability to get them to school on time, and now, fans are learning just how many times she had been late in the weeks leading up to her court battle with Corey Simms.

'Teen Mom 2' Star Leah Messer Says She May Have Narcolepsy

While the Teen Mom 2 star recently told Us Weekly that she took her 5-year-old daughters, Ali and Aleeah, to school late just once, a new report claims that was far from the case.

"Corey claims the twins had at least 10 tardies or absences from school in one month alone," The Ashley's Reality Roundup reported on Friday. "One of the main reasons that a judge ruled in favor of Corey getting custody of the twins was reportedly Leah’s inability to get them to school on time."

"The school had the twins marked tardy or absent 10 times in the month of August," the site added.

According to Messer's interview with Us Weekly, which was recently recounted by Radar Online, the reality star and mother of three blamed her secret battle with narcolepsy, a sleeping disorder, for her inability to get her children to school on time. Days later, however, Messer admitted she hasn't actually been diagnosed with the illness.
