While Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family was trying to keep her as far away from the public as possible while she in a hospice during her last days, it looks like the real danger was on the inside as a woman has been arrested for pretending to be her nurse.

Bobbi Kristina Was ‘Anxious’ To See Nick Gordon After Accident Just Days Before She Was Found In A Bathtub

A woman named Taiwo Sobamowo was taken into custody in North Carolina for identity fraud, NBC News reported Tuesday. Sobamowo, who is not actually a licensed nurse, was assigned to care for the late daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, in her last day at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Ga.

It’s not clear if Sobamowo is connected to Bobbi Kristina’s actual death in the facility as she was pretending to be another woman who has a similar name. She is looking at serious charges from identity theft to nursing without a license.

Mallie Sharafat, who is the CEO of Homestead Hospice released a statement and said they did actually do a background check on Sobamowo and even looked at her references.

“We had no reason to believe that she was anything other than a good nurse with proper credentials. As soon as the credentialing discrepancy was discovered by one of our employees, we immediately took action and notified the appropriate authorities.”

Sobamowo was fired back on Aug. 5, just days after Bobbi Kristina died on July 26, when she could not prove that she was licensed nurse.

She was arrested on Sunday night. Homestead Hospice is taking on “further precautions” to make sure all of their staff is properly certified.
