There's a new rumor that says the multi-talented singer and actress and her on-again, off-again boyfriend Casper Smart are engaged. But there's a catch - the sexy Latina was forced to buy her own engagement ring as the back-up dancer is reportedly too cheap.

According to Naughty Gossip on Wednesday, even though Lopez and Smart have denied rumors that they've gotten back together, many sources close to the couple say this time around it's the real deal.

A tipster told the site, "They have been engaged now for a few weeks, only telling family and friends. After all these years together they are family. He is close with her kids and mom and she is everything to him. Yes, they have split up many time, but they always get back together. Now they have realized that are meant to be together."

What's more, Lopez even managed to get Smart a job, as he will be working on an upcoming NBC series with her, but won't be playing in any of the same scenes with his future wife.

The insider explained, "They are always together. At first everyone thought dating J Lo paid, but he is totally in love. He would do anything for her."

As far as who wears the pants in their relationship, the source added, "He earns his own money and is comfortable with her earning more. He knows he will never have the sort of wealth she does, but he is OK with that. It isn't about her cash. Jennifer even bought her own ring. Not because he couldn't afford one - but because the one she wants - HE COULDN'T AFFORD THAT."
