Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas' relationship, which was lovingly referred to as G.I. Joe, has officially come to an end.

Just five months into their romance, which began a short while after Hadid broke up with singer Cody Simpson, the model is once again on the market.

"Joe and Gigi’s relationship recently ended," a source told PEOPLE Magazine on Wednesday. "Nothing serious happened ... it wasn’t a dramatic break up. It was just hard to make it work with their schedules. They will definitely remain friends."

Following PEOPLE Magazine's morning report, E! News offered a glimpse into the moments leading up to Hadid and Jonas' split, claiming Jonas appeared to be doing fine just hours before the announcement of the end of their relationship was made.

"He was in a good mood," an eyewitness told E! News of Jonas, who hosted a Birchbox Men and Movember Foundation dinner at Chateau Marmont in Hollywood, Calif. on Tuesday night. "He was so happy to see his brother [Nick] and be around his friends for the night. He was surrounded by his best friends."

While Hadid and Jonas have remained silent about their split on social media, Hadid did share a post with fans just hours ago, confirming she was in New York City.
