'Girl Meets World' Writer's Tease 'Bay Window', Why is 'Everybody Crying'?

The Lucaya/Rucas drama is currently on hold, but the teens' love lives will come back into focus over the holidays. In the wake of the Texas smoothie incident, fans are itching to see the next stage in the burgeoning Lucas/Maya romance.

"Girl Meets The New Year," the Girl Meets World writers teased. "Who will be together at Midnight?"

While it seems like this might be Lucaya's chance to work things out once and for all, there may be a twist. Riley's teenaged Uncle Josh will drop by for the holidays and he is on the verge of telling Maya just how he feels about her.

"Josh will be back for our New Years eve show in Dec," the writers tweeted back in August, later adding that he will eventually "tell [Maya] how he feels."

Whether his confession will work in Joshaya's favor remains to be see.
