It seems like the relationship between Deacon and Rayna is about to be reflected onto another Nashville couple.

Chatter On Maddie's Relationship With Juliette On 'Nashville'

Last Friday, Deadline announced that a character named Riff is coming aboard the series. This guy is known as a popular country star who had everything that comes with the highlights of a singing career- fans, partying, success and plenty of glory. But it changed when he met Heidi, a beautiful young woman who was working on her own singing career.

When it came down to it, Riff ended up choosing love over his career and apparently left the music world behind him.

Gunnar's Girlfriend Causes Issues For Scarlett On 'Nashville?'

This leaves some speculation on how happy Riff is going to be in the present day and if he'll realize leaving fame was the right or wrong thing to do. Plus, is this going to make Deacon and Rayna question their romance?

Riff will be played by Steve Kazee, known for roles in Working Class, Shameless and Legends. He also won a Grammy in 2013 for Best Musical Theater Album for Once: A New Musical.

He is expected to appear on the country drama in early 2016.

It was also announced from TV Line that a singer named Cash Gray will be joining the series. A lot about her character remains a mystery except for the fact that she might have a tense relationship with Rayna and her father is a recovering alcoholic. Cash will be played by Jessy Schram, known for playing Cinderella in ABC's Once Upon a Time.

Nashville airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
