Report: Bravo Adds New Cities To 'The Real Housewives' Franchise

Although the second of two new franchises, the first of which was The Real Housewives of Potomac, which will air in January, has yet to recieve a premiere date, Bravo announced earlier today that fans will meet the women of the cast sometime in 2016.

“‘The Real Housewives of Dallas,’ it's a natural extension of the franchise with a Southern twist that 'ya'll' will enjoy,” Andy Cohen announced in a statement on Wednesday.

“The Real Housewives of Dallas,” follows a group of sophisticated southern socialites, as they claw their way to the top of the city's social scene. The series gives an exclusive look into their glamorous galas, scintillating scandals, and enormous egos, to prove exactly why everything is bigger in Texas.

According to a Bravo report, "The series will certainly confirm that everything — including the drama — is bigger in Texas."

In Marchof this year, rumors began swirling about The Real Housewives of Dallas, when Bravo released an announcement, which noted a series called Ladies of Dallas.

"From glamorous galas to scintillating scandals, and supersized spending habits, life in the elite tier of the Dallas social scene is hard to crack, and even harder to maintain," the report explained. "Whether driven by vanity, personal validation, or career advancement, these Lone Star ladies all share the same goal- to climb the social ladder and stay on top."
