Alicia Keys will sing the national anthem at Super Bowl XLVII. Keys, 31, will sing at the annual football challenge for the third time and will sing three songs, which is the most amount of songs performed by a national anthem singer ever in the event's history.

The 2013 NFL Championship Game will take place Feb. 3 in New Orleans.

Beyonce, who sang the national anthem in 2004, will perform the halftime show the NFL announced in October. She sang the national anthem when the NFL title game was in her hometown of Houston. Beyonce's Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams will join her on stage during her performance this year. Additionally, fans of the "Bootylicious" singer will also join her on stage thanks to Pepsi who sponsored a fan contest that will allow the opportunity for a select few.

Kelly Clarkson sang the national anthem and Madonna was the featured performer during the halftime show at last year's Super Bowl match up.

Keys scored her fifth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 album chart on Wednesday with "Girl on Fire," unseating reigning chart queen Rihanna. "Girl On Fire" was released in November. First-week sales of "Girl on Fire" were in line with industry expectations of 145,000 to 170,000 units sold, Billboard said.

Keys is scheduled to entertain President Barack Obama at one his three official inaugural events on Monday, Jan.21. Keys joins a growing list of other scheduled performers entertaining during inaugural weekend including Katy Perry, Stevie Wonder, Marc Anthony, Nick Cannon, R&B singers Usher and John Legend and the cast of the TV show "Glee."
