After Jared Fogle's latest court session, his attorneys apparently asked for leniency.

Alleged Victim Says Encounter With Jared Fogle Got 'Creepier & Creepier'

On Friday, New York Post reported that court documents for the former Subway spokesman are saying that he "is profoundly sorry" for his troubles as he awaits his sentence for charges on child pornography and pedophilia.

The sentence is expected to happen later this week where lawyers are asking for a five-year term, which is the minimum they reportedly sought. The longest sentence was at 12.5 years.

But the judge could go beyond this since the child-porn charge carries a maximum of 20 years in prison while sex with a minor could go up to 30 years.

Earlier this month, TMZ obtained letters from the public to Fogle's judge saying that his plea deal is a "disgrace" and he deserves a worse punishment than what is being discussed.

One citizen wrote, "Jared Fogle victimized many children, and they will never be the same. Their families will never be the same. The plea deal tells people child pornography is OK. And it isn't. It's horrible. Many children who are victims of sexual crimes commit suicide, do drugs or victimize other children. That's how you know it is very wrong."

Another wrote, "Jared should be put away for a long time, he is a threat to society. If he hurt 10 children, and is given a small amount- say 5 years for each child- that equals 50 years."
