One of the stars of Call the Midwife opened up on something that's been pretty challenging for the new season.

Premiere Date Gets Announced For 'Call The Midwife' Season 5

In an interview with Express last Saturday, Helen George, who plays Trixie on the series, mentioned how she has another TV gig to focus on: reality competition Strictly Come Dancing. As happy as she is to be a part of both series,' it has not been an easy ride having to juggle a dancing show and a tear-jerking drama.

"Managing my time around both shows, and fitting in learning lines and getting enough sleep, has been difficult," George said. "I need to retain all of that information in my head and I want to give both the very best I can. I'm quite a competitive person, but mostly with myself. I demand a lot from me which isn't always great and I can be my own worst enemy."

Something else that clearly got to the actress was when the press let out some negative feedback about her as a contestant. This came after her split from husband Oliver Boot when she was labeled as the "b--chiest contestant" on the dance competition.

"I can't lie- it was very hurtful," George admitted. "It was a real shock and I did get very upset. It was the timing of it that was really upsetting. It was Saturday morning and I was sitting in hair and makeup- I knew that I had to go out and perform."

Call the Midwife Season 5 is expected to premiere on Sunday, April 3 on PBS.
