After Apple's CEO Tim Cook denied rumors about a larger iPhone earlier in January, new buzz surfaced but this time about the new iPad 4.

9to5 Mac stated that the tech company will be adding to its arsenal of iPads with a model that is said to offer more storage capacity. While the future product will offer a similar design style to that of the current iPad, it will also possess the most storage space ever on an iPad: 128GB.

The tech site reported that the iPad 4 will also have both Wi-Fi and cellular versions, along with 10-packs sellable to educational institutions that will go for $799. Although Apple's latest upgrade to the iPad lineup is considered relatively small, additional information has come out on another one of the company's products.

The tech giant is currently working on a 9.7-inch version of the iPad that resembles its smaller 7.9-inch iPad Mini.

The recent rumor on the iPad 4 followed low stock reports for Apple. The company plummeted by 12 percent after peaking at slightly over $700 per share in September 2012. The stock decrease lost Apple its place as the world's most monetarily valuable company.

Despite the bad news on the market, the company did sell a record number of iPads and iPhones in the last quarter.  Cook voiced excitement to thr news station about his company's feat and stated that "no technology company has ever reported these kinds of results."

While the accomplishmentis still impressive, Brian Colello, a senior equity analyst at Morningstar, did express some uncertainty on Apple's future and whether they will continue to dominate the tech market.

"Certainly a new product line is in the works. It remains to be seen what Apple will ultimately come out with and when. Those are certainly factors to keep an eye on," he said.
