Late night television turned a bit catty Wednesday when Piers Morgan and Chelsea Handler got in a heated argument on her E! show Chelsea Lately.

Morgan, the 47-year-old CNN talk show host, appeared on the show as a guest to promote the second anniversary of his primetime show Piers Morgan. His argument with Handler began when she asked Morgan "what are you looking at?"

"Well, You've either had plastic surgery or makeup because you look really hit today," Morgan said.

Handler then replied, "You're so annoying. You're so obnoxious, you wonder why everybody hates you," and then went on to say "I specifically covered so you couldn't look at me and undress me with your molester eyes."

The 37-year-old comedian and actress asked Morgan if he thought he was doing better than her in terms of their careers, to which he replied, "Seems to be working so far."

The back-and-forth continued with Morgan also making fun of Handler's alleged drinking problem. "Normally when I come on the show," he joked, "you're really hungover in a very professional way."

Handler only managed to get a few serious questions about Morgan's CNN show, asking him about a live audience feature he plans to put in to place. Morgan barely answered the question and continued to insult the late night host. He said he could help Handler with her show but then added, "I think I will just steal your audience."

"Let me guess you're a better interviewer than I," Handler said. "I'm not pretending to be a great interviewer. I'm not even pretending to be good at my job."

"Both things are clearly apparent today. I can help you," Morgan joked.

Morgan's comment upset Handler and she fired back with, "You can suck my a**"

Their conversation overshadowed the main reason Piers was actually on the show, and no word at time of publication on whether or not the skit was planned.
