On Twitter, just days after a Vanderpump Rules sneak peek showed the cast member attempting to hook up with new girl Lala Kent, who recently got a job at SUR Lounge as a hostess, Taylor shared an odd re-tweet about being "single."

Is 'Vanderpump Rules' Star Jax Taylor Taking His Relationship With Brittany Cartwright Seriously?

While Taylor's tweet was certainly unexpected, it doesn't appear to have been any sort of announcement regarding his own situation, or status with Brittany Cartwright.

Around the same time, Cartwright shared a tweet of her own, which showed a photo of her and Taylor's new dog.

Cartwright also shared a tweet recently, which spoke of her thoughts of Taylor's comments to and about Kent, one of which included a statement about having sex with her, despite being in the early stages of his relationship with Cartwright.

When a fan on Twitter wrote to Cartwright, wanting to know what she though of her boyfriend's "shady" behavior.

In response, Cartwright explained, "Not good that's for sure, I keep trying to remind myself this was 7 months ago before I moved to LA & we just met."
