The nominees list for The 2016 Golden Globes is out and House of Cards has been chosen in only one category.

New Characters To Threaten Frank In Season 4?

Robin Wright has been nominated for the prestigious award in the category of Actress in a TV Series, Drama, for her role as Claire Underwood in the Netflix political drama. Wright is up against Viola Davis (How to Get Away With Murder), Eva Green (Penny Dreadful), Taraji P. Henson (Empire) and Caitriona Balfe (Outlander).

Interestingly Kevin Spacey, who plays Frank Underwood, has received a major snub, emphasized even more by his Golden Globe win this year.

Hillary Clinton Thinks House of Cards Is 'Bad TV'?

In fact both Wright and Spacey were just recently nominated for best actress and actor by the SAG awards.

When he was nominated for 2015, Spacey tweeted about his nomination for the Netflix series, joking about how he hadn't won awards over the last eight times he was nominated because he attended the ceremony and maybe not going this time would make a difference this time around.

"I jinxed the last 7 #GoldenGlobes noms by showing up, should I sit 8 out in hopes that works? To better odds! #HouseofCards @RealRobinWright," he tweeted on December 11.

Season 4 of House of Cards will premiere in 2016.
