The "Flawless" singer is reportedly getting back into acting when she agreed to star in the remake of A Star is Born, Page Six tells the story.
Insiders reveal that actor Bradley Cooper is moving ahead with his planned directorial debut and Beyonce is on board. Meanwhile, insiders also added that the 40-year-old actor is meeting with producers in Hollywood to back the project, the film won’t be ready to go before cameras until the end of next year, or possibly January 2017.
Entertainment Tonight previously reported that Clint Eastwood decided to drop the remake of the movie last October 2012 due to scheduled conflict.
Apparently, Cooper is now trying to squeeze in an acting role before going into pre-production on A Star Is Born, but sources said he needs to find the right script that will let him “disappear” into a part and shake off two bombs — chef drama Burnt and Cameron Crowe’s Aloha.
“Beyoncé is a go,” said a source of Cooper’s remake of movie. A Star is Born follows a film star, Norman Maine, who helps a young singer and actress, Vicki Lester/Esther Blodgett, find fame. Beyoncé would be starring as Vicki, which was previously played by Judy Garland in 1954 and Barbara Streisand in 1976, ET wrote.
As we all know, Beyonce is not new in the film industry since she had notable works such as leading roles in 2002's Austin Powers' in Goldmember, followed by Dreamgirls in 2006 and Obsessed in 2009.
