It's a big week for Star Wars fans as everyone awaits the big day when the seventh film hits theaters.
With only so many details about the film released, people who have been working on Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens attended the premiere in Hollywood.
A number of familiar faces will be in the film, including Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher. They will be reprising their roles as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia. Some lesser known names are in the film although they'll probably be much bigger upon the film's release this Friday.
Filmmaker George Lucas attended the premiere with J.J. Abrams who directed this film in particular. In the slideshow for the premiere, both directors looked filled with joy to see the movie on screen and eventually share it with the public.
Ford attended as well with his wife, Calista Flockhart. Another couple who attended were actors Sarah Hyland and Dominic Sherwood who gave something special to the public- a romantic kiss on the red carpet for all cameras.
Check out the slideshow for more photos from the premiere last Monday.
