Carrie Underwood hosted a baby shower for one of the dearest friends she's ever had.

On Tuesday, CMT announced that Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, threw the shower for baker Ivey Childers. The two met when Childers was dating Underwood's music director, Mark Childers.

In what appeared to be a spectacular event, Childers opened up on how proud she is to call Underwood her friend and how they're sharing their lives together.

"We've been friends for gosh, seven or eight years now," Childers said about the country singer. "We got married a year apart, we're having babies a year apart. We've kind of experienced all the milestones in life together. She's most definitely my very best friend."

Underwood became a mom last February when she brought her son, Isaiah, into the world. Childers revealed that being around the new mother helps her feel comfortable in her own skin.

"I watch her, and I'm amazed at what she can handle and how she's not rattled," the baker said. "She calms me...watching her embrace motherhood the way she has makes me a relaxed person. We're a good balance for each other in the sense that she's very calm and collected."

And when it comes to advice, Underwood knows exactly what to say.

"She's told me to go easy on myself," Childers said. "Don't be too hard on yourself in everything that you experience with it all. There's gonna be some hard moments, but just remember to not be so hard on yourself. That's the thing I keep hearing from her."
