Since her diagnosis in 2012, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been fighting symptoms, and after a fan suggested she try cannabis oil, an extraction of marijuana, Foster revealed she already had.

According to a report by the 420 Times, Dr. William Eidelman, the author of a number of medical marijuana recommendations for Lyme Disease in California, recently explained how marijuana can assist patients with Lyme disease.

“Cannabis is an anti-inflammatory, so it reduces pain and inflammation," he revealed. "It also reduces the stress that comes with Lyme, and also reduces depression that can come with chronic illness.”

A second report, via Natural News, explained that there are two methods for using marijuana for Lyme disease, which they noted as "managing symptoms well by smoking marijuana, or completely reversing the disease with cannabis oil."

Foster has been open with her Lyme disease diagnosis for the last few years on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and even after suffering a relapse at the end of last year, she has continued to document her fight.
