Justin Bieber on Tuesday posted a message on his Twitter page about The Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney and said the musician should be "slapped" for making comments about Bieber's wealth.

TMZ recently asked Carney about Bieber's snub at the Grammys - the Canadian singer was not nominated for a single award - and Carney replied with, "He's rich, right?"

"Grammys are for like music not for money and he's making a lot of money. I don't know. He should be happy, I guess," Carney said.

The Black Keys scored big at the Grammys on Feb. 10, taking home the awards for Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album. Bieber did not attend the award ceremony and on Tuesday he tweeted "the black keys drummer should be slapped around haha."

Carney retweeted Bieber's message with a frown face emoticon. He joked about the ordeal and wrote "I need to be bare butt spanked"

Many Bieber fans supported the 18-year-old singer's comments and wrote about Carney on his Twitter page, "@patrickcarney who are you? your a flop. Talking s--t about Justin? Leave."

Some of the other messages were as follows:

"@patrickcarney I no longer like you nor do I like your band."

"Because of you, the Black Keys have fallen in the esteem of 34 million people"
