Model Chrissy Teigen has made her third appearance in the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Teigen has joined Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl Kate Upton, 20, and the other models featured in the issue for several promotional events since the issue was released. They attended Marquee Nightclub at The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas on Feb. 13., appeared on Late Show With David Letterman, rang the bell at the New York Stock Exchange and held court at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue launch party in New York City on Feb. 12.

Teigen spoke with People on an airplane as she and the other models featured in the magazine headed to Las Vegas. She gave a sneak peek as to what goes on behind-the scenes when she travels. The Thai-Norwegian model revealed thats she often travels with hair extensions in her purse.

"I just thought I'd show you what's in my purse, because it's kind of fascinating, actually," Teigen told People. "I have multitudes of hair." 

She also makes sure she have an electronic handheld game handy to prevent her from getting bored.

"I have an entire Nintendo 64 in my purse," Teigen said as she pulled it out. "Kate Upton, I am the best Mario Kart player in the world. I'm older than you. I've had much more experience than you, and I dare you to beat me at Mario Kart." 

On the flight, she also talked about drinking alcohol and how she will spend her time during the flight.

"As you can see, the drinks are being served already, which isn't the exact same thing that would happen on a normal flight," Teigen said. "They're going back and forth. We're having a good time. I don't plan on watching any in-flight video. I think we'll just have a good time, so we'll see what happens. It should be a lot of fun. I'm excited." 

Teigen, who is engaged to singer John Legend, first appeared in the annual magazine in 2010, thanks to an introduction to SI casting crew by her friend, model/actress Brooklyn Decker. 

Legend proposed to Teigen during the holidays in 2011, according to his publicist.

"John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, got engaged over the holidays in 2011 while vacationing in the Maldives," his rep, Cindi Berger, told People. 

The couple had been dating since 2007.
