There is no doubt that Dakota Johnson is one of the hottest stars in Hollywood right now and she is definitely being recognized for all of her hard work. Along with actors John Boyega, Brie Larson, Taon Egerton and Bel Powley, the 50 Shades of Grey star has been nominated for the EE Rising Star of 2016 award.
According to Xpose on Tuesday, the brunette beauty says she was "stunned" when she found out she was up for the prize. It is awarded to an actor who has "demonstrated exceptional talent and are destined for bright futures in film and handed out at the BAFTA Awards."
She said, "I am thoroughly stunned, and honoured to be acknowledged with an EE Rising Star Award nomination. Thank you, I am truly grateful.''
It looks like Powley was equally as surprised as she says that she's always been a fan of other actors who have won the prize in the past, including James McAvoy, Jack O'Connell, Kristen Stewart and Tom Hardy.
She said: ''I've watched and respected the BAFTAs and the EE Rising Star Award since I was very young, so I can't quite believe this is happening! I am incredibly thankful to the jury and to BAFTA for recognizing my work. I really love what I do.''
The winner of the EE prize will be announced at the EE British Academy Film Awards (which is also known as the BAFTAs) on Feb. 14 in London.
