Anyway, The Bert Show released the first part of its interview with Bieber on Wednesday and the Canadian is getting really real about the changes he has made in his life to improve it.

"I would just say, just listen to the people who care about you," he said about giving advice to his younger self.

The singer also dished he was very trusting early on his career with everyone, which definitely hurt him.

"People take advantage of vulnerability," Bieber shared, which led to him revealing, "I was just in a place of just trusting everyone, you know, thinking everyone was on my side and eventually getting burned."

"It's just tough," he added shortly after before admitting to "putting up walls" and even went as far as shutting "everybody out."

He found his way again though bit by bit by keeping some at a distance and pushing others away entirely like we all do with the various relationships in our lives.

"I'm going to give them some of me and learn how to put up a wall without closing myself off completely," Bieber said.

He admitted he needed to sort himself out-"I just had to figure out what kind of man I wanted to be."

With figuring himself out he figured out whom he could and could not trust.

"I had to reassess that completely," he said of his judgment of others close to him, explaining he took the space he needed and then placed each person "in the positions where they needed to be."

"I think I have a cool opportunity to just be a light and tell people I'm human. I'm still going to make mistakes," the pop star revealed.

He believes he has been consistent in his growth as a person.
