On Instagram on Monday, the former Real Housewives of Orange County star turned designer opened up about her struggles to conceive, and promoted her recent appearance on The Doctors.

"There have been a lot of rumors floating around about our journey of trying to get pregnant," Rossi wrote on Instagram on Monday. "Slade and I invite you to Tune into 'The Doctors' today to find out the truth behind those rumors, and the big birthday surprise Slade had for me this year."

"It's been a long hard journey. Dealing with the challenges of IVF, our concerns about genetics, and cancer in the family as well as Slade's decision to have a vasectomy over 15 years ago," Rossi continued. "We are so grateful to all those who have supported us and wished us well during this process."

According to a report by Radar Online on Tuesday, Smiley recently underwent a vastectomy reversal surgery, and after a presumably successful outcome, the couple was given clearance by doctors to start trying to conceive naturally.

“I have wanted this since I was a little girl, to be a mother one day,” she said. “And finally now my dream can come true. I would like more than one child, yes. I used to want to have four children I always said. But for now, we will be happy with just one healthy child.”
