Let's face it: Keeping Up with the Kardashians hasn't been the same since Rob Kardashian left. The past two seasons have been feeling a little dry and without the wit and humor of the only boy in the family, it also feels as if we're lacking someone near and dear to us.

Over the holidays, Rob was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital and was diagnosed with diabetes. His family, who has been speaking on his behalf for a while now says the 28-year old treats the diagnosis as a wake up call and has been working very hard to get better. A source close to the family revealed to E! News that Rob is indeed "on the road to recovery."

Kris Jenner who has been vocal about her son's recovery has high hopes that he will soon come out of the ordeal. In a recent interview with E!, Kris hints at Rob's desire of returning to KUWTK. "He wants to still come back and shoot the show, he just wants to feel good. It's not that he doesn't want to be on the show, it's just he wasn't feeling too good."

She also adds that she sees Rob "everyday" and that he's "always around" despite being off camera.

His sister Khloe appeared on Good Morning America Wednesday and openly talked about his brother, whom she feels highly hopeful for. "He got out before the New Year, so I was like, 'OK let's leave all that stuff then,'" she explained. "Listen, you found out what the stuff is. Let's tackle it head on."

During an earlier interview with E!, Khloe continues to root for her brother's recovery. "I know it's only, what, Jan. 7 or 8, it's only eight days of this year," Khloe said, "but I think I've seen such a great transformation just mentally right now. So I hope that sticks. Again it's only been a week, but I hope that sticks and I'm always praying and rooting for Rob."

The star also believes that everything happens for a reason and her brother's diagnosis is a "jumpstart" to get better. "He's taking it seriously," she added. "We're only 13 days into the New Year, but that's good enough for me."

The Kocktails with Khloe star also recalled one episode from the KUWTK's previous season where she realized she was part of Rob's problem. "We didn't mean to film [it] and it just happened. We filmed an intervention that aired...not so much like a sit-down and this blah, blah, blah, it was like over the phone and it was just like that's when the time happened and we happened to be filming and we just needed to really address a lot of stuff with Rob," Khloe said. "And it came to be that I'm an enabler because I baby him too much but I can't kick my brother out, that's never gonna happen."

Rob has also been catching up with Khloe's ex and basketball player, Lamar Odom who was recently released from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after suffering from a drug overdose. Another insider close to the family said that Rob and Lamar find comfort and support from each other, adding the two have "a lot of similar demons" when it comes to self worth. The two have remained close despite Khloe severing ties from Lamar.
