More bad news has been delivered for Bobby Shmurda.

Bobby Shmurda Releases New Song From Behind Bars

On Tuesday, TMZ reported that the rapper's court request to have his bail lowered has been denied. And apparently, he and his lawyer, Alex Spiro, think the bail is too high at $2 million.

Spiro reportedly told the judge that his client's bail is so high because his net worth had been estimated at $20 million in the first place and has been exaggerated. According to the attorney, the estimate is closer to $427,000 and the bail should be somewhere around $50-$100k.

It was also mentioned that Spiro and Shmurda will not give up on trying to lower the rapper's bail amount. Shmurda is currently behind bars on a number of charges, one of them including conspiracy to commit murder.

Meanwhile, Shmurda previously opened up to Hot 97's Ebro In the Morning about how the court wanted the full amount of bail money.

"They want a hundred percent," he said. "They don't want 25 percent, they don't want 40, they don't want 50. They want the whole two million dollars. We have more than the ten percent, it's the collateral. They want two million dollars collateral."

Shmurda added that any nasty gossip about his time in jail is nothing but a rumor.

"I'm always gonna be good," he said. "I heard a bunch of rumors about stuff happening to me, ain't nobody laid a finger on me yet. I get love from everywhere. Of course I got my haters, but what they say?' You ain't got no haters, you ain't poppin.' You know how that s--t go."
