A sneak peek from the upcoming episode of season 11 of Criminal Minds, titled "Drive," shows the BAU in a bind over a case in which the perpetrator beheads his victims.

In the clip, which was unveiled by TVGuide, the team is in conference over this case, and Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) is briefing the team--Dr. Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), Derek Morgan (Shemaar Moore), Hotch (Thomas Gibson) and David Rossi (Joe Mantegna). Garcia actually shows the team images of the beheaded in victims in Boston as they try to figure out what the motivation of the criminal might be--as the victims, who are mostly women, have not been sexually assaulted or robbed, with the exception of their cell phones.

Here's the synopsis for the episode:

"When bodies are discovered in public places throughout Boston, the BAU investigates whether a taxi or ride-share service the victims used before their deaths could lead the team to the UnSub."

In other exciting news related to the crime procedural, it was recently revealed that Danny Glover will be playing the part of Derek Morgan's (Shemar Moore) father on the show. TVLine revealed that Glover will guest star as Derek's dad in an episode, titled Derek. Showrunner Erica Messer also weighed in on this starry addition for the episode. "It's an interesting role that he plays," Messer said. "The reason Derek needs to call on this protector in this moment and work through some things is really beautifully written by Breen Frazier, and directed by [cast member] Thomas Gibson."

The episode will air on January 20 on CBS.
