Best Actress winner Jennifer Lawrence's ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult is once again acknowledging his ex's Academy Awards season success in the form of compliments.

According to E! News, Hoult was extremely happy to see his former flame bring home the coveted Oscar.

"I'm very, very happy for her. I'm thrilled!"

Lawrence recently broke up with actor Nicholas Hoult last month, who she met in 2010 on the set of X-Men: First Class. Prior to the split, the actress had spoken to Elle about her feelings for him.

"He is honestly, and hopefully I'm his best friend, too. He's my favorite person to be around and he makes me laugh harder than anybody," Lawrence said.

The former couple's respect for one another continues to remain mutual, as Hoult also told the gossip site on Feb. 1 that he was "very proud" and that indeed rooting for her to win the Oscar.

Hoult spoke of his enthusiasm to reunite with the X-Men cast for the upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past, which is due out in 2014.

"It'll be great to be back with everyone. I know it's a particularly exciting thing for me on that one is having Hugh Jackman and those guys back because those are the guys I grew up watching in X-Men films. We'll wait and see how that relationship develops."

"They're going to split between different times a little bit, with the older cast coming back, so we'll have to wait and see."

Enstars had reported that Lawrence and Silver Linings Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper were rumored to be an item, as the two were reportedly in attendance together at a Vanity Fair Pre-Oscar party in New York on Feb. 20.

The two A-listers appeared in the highly acclaimed film as a couple and their onscreen chemistry had many viewers wondering whether their romance had parlayed into real-life. Lawrence and Cooper are also set to appear alongside one another again in the film Serena, which is set to come out in September.
