The Los Angeles Lakers (28-30) will face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves (20-34) at the Staples Center on Thursday.

In the midst of an inconsistent season, the Lakers have been on the rise as of late. However, they've showed signs that they're still prone to turnovers and underperformance on the free throw line.

Nonetheless, its margin may be a bit wider than usual when they attempt to build on their streak of 20 consecutive wins over the struggling Timberwolves, the longest streak in the NBA.

While Los Angeles still finds themselves below the .500 mark, they've began to build some positive momentum with their recent 11-5 run.

However, its two areas of concern are its disappointing 15.3 turnovers per game ratio and 69.0 free throw percentage.

Both of Los Angeles' woes resurfaced in its 119-108 defeat to the Denver Nuggets on Monday, as the team committed 12 of its 15 turnovers prior to halftime, hitting just 14 of 31 free throws.

"We missed 17 free throws and you get beat by 11, you can do the math. And it doesn't add up. You can't go 14 for 31 from the line and turn it over on the road and expect to win," coach Mike D'Antoni told the Los Angeles Lakers' official website.
