Don't worry, Legends of Tomorrow fans, Hawkman isn't gone for good.

'The Flash' Season 2: 'Supergirl' Crossover Is Official, DC Sets Date For Barry's National City Adventure

DC's newest series shocked viewers by killing off one its heroes just two episodes in, but Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) has a distinct advantage over most slain characters - his 208 lives live on in the mind of his soul mate.

"What we're going to explore in our show is [Kendra] gradually remembering all the lives they had together in various time periods and how they inform this life, how everything she's learned in her 208 deaths will give her the strength and power and knowledge on how to not fail this time, when she will ultimately confront Vandal Savage," executive producer Phil Klemmer told TV Guide.

So, what exactly does this mean for viewers? Henstschel was previously listed as a guest star, which means fans shouldn't expect to see Hawkman in every episode.

Next time on Legends of Tomorrow, Rip Hunter's (Arthur Darvill) team will split up (see a preview below). Unfortunately, not all of our "heroes" will have the purest of motives in "Blood Ties."

"Rip decides to weaken Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) by going after his financial assets. Rip and Sara (Caity Lotz) infiltrate Savage's bank, but are discovered by his men," The CW teased. "Meanwhile, Snart (Wentworth Miller) and Rory (Dominic Purcell) talk Jax (Franz Drameh) into taking the jump ship back to Central City so they can steal a valuable emerald. Professor Stein (Victor Garber) guides Ray (Brandon Routh) on a dangerous mission."
