The first media day of the 83rd Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland began Tuesday with some of the top new cars unveiled to the world.

The first day of events was summarized by The Telegraph which posted images of the latest designs from Ferrari, Corvette, and Rolls-Royce.

Ferrari debuted its 963-horse power (hp) hybrid LaFerrari which is the most expensive model on the market with a price tag of about $1.31 million.

The LaFerrari is first gasoline-electric hybrid model that has come out of the company known for making powerful vehicles, according to The Los Angeles Times. It is run by the HY-KERS system, which has a 6.3-liter V12 normally aspirated engine that delivers 800 hp, coupled with a 163-hp electric motor, giving the car a combined power output of 963 hp.

One of the biggest reveals at the event was the introduction of the new Corvette Stingray, according to The Auto Channel.

The introduction of the convertible Stingray follows the reveal of the hardtop Corvette model that was made at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show in January.

The 2014 Corvette Stingray is the most powerful standard model on the market with an estimated 450-hp and 450 lb.-ft. of torque packed into the iconic sleek design.

It is able to accelerate from zero to 60 in less than four seconds and is the most fuel-efficient Corvette with over the estimated 26 mpg on current models.

Another big reveal was Rolls-Ryoce with the new Wraith that features fastback styling for a high-performance coupe with rearward-opening suicide doors. The Wraith accelerates from zero to 60 in 4.4 seconds and packs 624-hp from its indeterminate-displacement V-12 engine, according to Evo.

The Wraith also offers Satellite Aided Transmission that uses satellite data about the road ahead to pre-selects the correct gear for the terrain.

The Motor Show will open its gates to the public starting on March 7 until March 17.
