It’s no secret that Nick Cannon was able to joke about his marriage with Mariah Carey when they were going strong, but now that the two are heading for a divorce, he is still making shocking statements.

During a "Plead The Fifth" segment on his mega hit series Wild 'N Out on MTV2, Cannon was asked, “Are you surprised that your rap career lasted longer than marriage?”

After he got over the boldness and shock of the question, he exclaimed, “I made money off of both of them!”

Wild 'N Out is probably the outlet where Cannon is the most vocal about his love life and personal situations. In another recent episode, he spoke on speculation that he and model Amber Rose were dating amid his split with Carey. Guests Charlemagne, DJ Envy and Angela Yee of Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club first pointed out that Cannon was Amber’s manager, and the two even sported matching Ferraris on Instagram, which fueled rumors of a romance.

But Cannon said there was “absolutely not” anything going on between him and Amber. And the crowd was not buying it.

“Y’all don’t believe me?!” he asked. “I’m her manager!”

In the end, he ended up pleading the fifth.
