She made a lot of waves during #OscarsSoWhite when she criticized the backlash by saying the BET Awards didn't recognize white actors, but actress and political commentator Stacey Dash's appearance at the Oscars to potentially do some damage control did not go over very well.
Dash appeared on stage for a brief cameo during one of host Chris Rock's opening monologues, but people were not having it after she said she was looking forward to doing whatever she could to "help her people"--especially after her earlier comments.
Rock introduced her as the Director of "Diversity Outreach" as a joke because of her opposition to the #OscarsSoWhite controversy and conservative stance in politics-but many did not care the moment:

The big upside to that Stacey Dash joke is now we all know what it sounds like when a tree falls in a forest and nobody's around. #Oscars — Adam Liaw (@adamliaw) February 29, 2016
