Leah Messer dated T.R. Dues for several months during filming on Teen Mom 2 seasons six and seven, but yet fans haven't seen him on the show.

While Messer never revealed why shy chose to keep Dues away from the cameras during season six, and likely season seven, as well, the reality star and mother of three seemed to hint at the reason behind her decision on Instagram on Wednesday.

"#truthbetold So freaking #TRUE ! #Truth," Messer wrote in the caption of the meme, which read, "Relationships last longer when nobody knows your business."

Messer and Dues have been linked since last June, and while reports claim they moved in together nearly immediately (and during filming on Teen Mom 2 season six), Messer did not allow Dues to film, nor did she mention him at all. In fact, the mother of three flat-out denied she was dating Dues when confronted about the relationship by her ex-husband, Corey Simms, on the season six reunion special.

Then, after filming on season seven began, a Radar Online source claimed Messer had staged a breakup with Dues in order to appear as a more stable parent before heading back to court to regain custody of her twins, Ali and Aleeah, 6.
