The concern with athletes using Performance Enhancement Drugs (PEDS) has caused officials to take precaution.

That precaution is why, Cesar Carrillo, a pitcher on the Detroit Tigers' Double A Roster, will be suspended for 100 games.

The 28-year-old Carrillo's suspension was announced by MLB, according to Fox Sports. The pitcher's name was on a list released by the Miami New Times, which posted images of a document on its site.

The document had names of MLB players who were allegedly affiliated with Biogenesis, an anti-aging South-Florida clinic that provides PEDs.

MLB asked for the documents from the Miami New Times in February to help the league investigate PEDs among players, but the newspaper won't, according to the Washington Post.

"While we appreciate the New Times consideration, we have been proceeding with our investigation as if we were not going to be getting documents from them," MLB spokesman Pat Courtney said in an e-mail, according to the Washington Post.

According to the Miami New Times, the records with the players listed by Biogenesis was given to the paper by an employee before the clinic closed in December, and the owner "disappeared."
