Kathy Hilton shared a message on Instagram about Monty Brinson's death last month.

Following Brinson's tragic passing, which came after a years-long battle with cancer, the sister of his ex-wife, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards, took to social media, where she shared a heartfelt message with her fans and followers.

"Today we celebrated my brother- in- law Monty's life. It felt so good having all of our family in one room,celebrating our angels life," Hilton wrote on Instagram. "I was very proud of my sister Kim, Teri, Brooke, Ali, and Maddie for their beautiful speeches. My nephew Chad brought the house down."

"Thank you to all of the people who were here with us today to celebrate his life.We now have a new guardian angel in heaven. RIP Monty. We love you," she added.

Hilton has been at odds with her other sister, Kyle Richards, for the past several months, but earlier this year, after Nicky Hilton's pregnancy was announced, Kyle said she was hopeful for their future.

“Don’t babies always [bring families closer]? I think so,” Kyle told Page Six. “I’m so excited because she’s the first one of all the kids [to have a baby]. We have 12 kids between us – Kathy, Kim [Richards] and I – and she’s the first one so it’s really exciting. I hope this baby has [Nicky’s] eyes because her eyes are the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen."
