The weather outside may be frightful, but Penelope Cruz recently stripped down for a sexy new PETA ad.

According to US Weekly, the Spanish actress' shoulder-baring ad is featured on 70-foot billboard in New York City.

"Penelope's passion for cruelty-free fashion goes beyond the red carpet because she knows that fur is never glamorous-not as a coat, a collar, or even tiny trim," PETA stated in a press release. "In fact, there's not an inch of fur in the collection that she and her sister designed for the fur-free Spanish clothing retailer Mango."

The 37-year-old mother joins Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson and Real Housewife Bethenny Frankel in the fight against the use of fur as fashion.

Cruz has a long history with helping animals. In 2006, the Oscar-winning actress revealed her mother often complains about her adoption of stray animals. So, how many animals does Cruz have? "Two cats and one dog, and then I have my other dog with me in LA," she told an Australian publication.
