Fans are behind singer Justin Bieber after he revealed the spotlight is a little too much for him and made a shocking announcement on social media Tuesday night.

The hashtag #WeAreHereForYouJustin started trending on Twitter just hours after his now viral post. Fans were adamant about showing their support. See some of their responses below.

Bieber shared a photo of himself and a young fan but added that he will no longer be doing meet-and-greets…at least not for awhile.

“I enjoy meeting such incredible people but I end up feeling so drained and filled with so much of other people’s spiritual energy that I end up so drained and unhappy…” he revealed.

He added that while fans leave the meet-and-greets ecstatic to having met him, it is at his “expense.”

“I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression…”

He revealed that he had reached his breaking point when it comes to trying to please others.

“The pressure of meeting people’s expectations of what I’m supposed to be is so much for me to handle and a lot on my shoulders. Never want to disappoint but I feel I would rather give you guys the show and my albums as promised.”

He expressed his most sincere apology but said him having a “healthy mindset” is what is really important.

But it’s not completely over for him.

He ended with a vow that he will give “you the best show you have ever seen ;)”

Love u guys.. I'm going to be canceling my meet and greets. I enjoy meeting such incredible people but I end up feeling so drained and filled with so much of other people's spiritual energy that I end up so drained and unhappy.. Want to make people smile and happy but not at my expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression .. The pressure of meeting people's expectations of what I'm supposed to be is so much for me to handle and a lot on my shoulders. Never want to disappoint but I feel I would rather give you guys the show and my albums as promised. Can't tell you how sorry I am, and wish it wasn't so hard on me.. And I want to stay in the healthy mindset I'm in to give you the best show you have ever seen ;)

TMZ reported that the meet-and-greet change was also sparked by a security issue. One of his fans got way too close to him on Monday night. The person was already on the “watch list” for Bieber’s security team. As soon as they spotted her, they took her out of the area. Apparently this was also a breaking point that led to the policy change for meet-and-greets.
