Miranda Lambert is working on a number of new songs, and they may be about her boyfriend, Anderson East, and the end of her marriage to Blake Shelton.

In the last year, Lambert has gone through ups and downs, starting with her July 2015 divorce from Shelton, but luckily, it appears she's currently on a high note with her new boyfriend as she embarks on the creation of her upcoming album.

“I've been off the road a little bit, so I’ve been able to kind of go into the creative mode, which is good,” Lambert told Entertainment Tonight earlier this month during the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. “I’ve been in Nashville a lot, so I've really been able to write a lot with friends.”

While Lambet certainly has tons of material to use, she claims she's in no rush to get the album finished.

“I'm not rushing trying to get a project done, just taking my time, enjoying it, going to see live music. Just kind of being in it,” she explained. “Just getting creative. That's what I do. That's what I love the most.”

Just days before hiting the red carpet with East for the first time, Lambert was in London, where she also teased of her new music.

“I’ve spent a lot, a lot, a lot of time writing lately,” Lambert told The Guardian during her appearance last month. “I’ve had more time than I’ve ever had, so I’ve been able to write every day. I think I’ve been more honest – to myself, even. Not being afraid to lay it all out there. As I’ve gotten older I’ve laid it out there less at times in my career” – she lets out a tight laugh – “but now I’m just like, ‘Here it is, here’s my story.’ You can relate because everybody goes through shit.”
