Things seem to be going pretty well for Dakota Johnson and Matthew Hitt.

While it's been speculated on what the status is between these two if they were official or not, it appears the actress and her beau are very much together.

On Monday, Daily Mail posted photos of the couple as they walked arm in arm in the city of New York. Dressed in warm black clothing, the two had big grins on their faces and looked pleased to spend the day together.

Just a few months ago, Johnson spoke to Marie Claire about her relationship status where she said at the time that she was not exclusive with anyone.

"I don't have a boyfriend. Why? You got one for me?" she said via Daily Mail. "Right now I find myself having the capacity to love my family and friends, and that's it."

It was also mentioned that Johnson was seen leaving her apartment just moments after Hitt at one point. While it's possible that the two were broken up before, the latest images definitely imply that the romance hasn't completely died out.

Meanwhile, the actress has been working on her role as Anastasia Steele in the anticipated flick Fifty Shades Darker, the sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey. This is a role known for being dark and racy, but still had some quirks here and there, something that Johnson was proud to add to her character.

"I needed Anastasia to be funny," Johnson told Elle. "If you can't laugh during a movie like that, you're f---ed. Literally. You need to have something that everyone can relate to."

Fifty Shades Darker is expected to hit theaters in February 2017.
