A heartfelt appeal from a 7-year-old level designer for Nintendo's popular Super Mario Maker title has endeared numerous fans of the game. After having a number of his customized levels unceremoniously deleted by Nintendo, Daniel, the young designer, has appealed to gamers to check out his designs before the gaming giant deletes them.

In a letter to popular gamer and writer Patrick Klepek, who hosts Mario Maker Mornings every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on YouTube and Twitch, Daniel's father described his son's plight.

"My 7-year-old son Daniel and I are huge fans of Mario Maker Mornings. He would be thrilled if you'd take a shot at it, hopefully before Nintendo decides to delete it (we just had three of his other levels wiped out today). I had no hand in this, so please blame him for any frustrations!!! Thanks again for taking the time to play his level," the letter read.

Klepek did manage to play through one of Daniel's remaining stages, Piranhas on the Loose, which was broadcast on YouTube. Apart from this, other gamers from all around the world have also decided to check out the young designer's work as well. A number of them have even given the level a star, in order to show Nintendo that the 7-year-old's work is is enjoying support.

Nintendo has garnered quite a notorious reputation for deleting user-designed levels in Super Mario Maker without any warning. Though the disappearance of customized levels has become commonplace in the game, Nintendo has never really elaborated on why it feels the need to delete levels created by the gaming community.

Of course, Nintendo stated that levels with inappropriate content and exploits are deleted by the gaming giant. However, some levels, which Nintendo brands as "low popularity" are also unceremoniously deleted as well.

Sadly, some of these levels are created by kids like Daniel, who really want nothing more than for people to check out and appreciate their hard work. After all, designing compelling levels in Super Mario Maker might be pretty simple, but making them very playable and challenging at the same time is not child's play at all.

Though Daniel's Piranhas on the Loose has enjoyed a number of play-throughs from gamers, there is still no assurance that Nintendo would not delete his level.
