AT&T will begin to roll out Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for the LG Optimus G, the company announced Thursday.

Customers under the carrier will be about to download the Jelly Bean for their smartphones now, which comes with several enhancement and changes. The notification display will group updates from the same application together and customers will also be able to view the full text of an SMS message and the full photo of a MMS in the notifications display, the company statement noted.

The enhanced tasks application allows users to sync their tasks in Outlook and there is also the added bonus of a data usage calculator that allows users to set a limit on data usage per month.

The Jelly Bean will also enable the Isis Mobile Wallet on the smartphone, which is a free application that stores payment and loyalty cards, and also organizes deals and offers. Isis is currently being trialed on the phone in Salt Lake City, Utah and Austin, Texas.

SlashGear noted that if the update does not automatically hit the Optimus G, a way to see if the update has been enabled it to tap the following in order: Menu, Settings, General, About phone, Software Update. If the Jelly Bean has automatically uploaded, the only next step is to connect to a WiFi network.

The Optimus G Pro is now on sale in Japan through NTT DoCoMo, according to GSMArena. The phone features a 5-inch IPS LCD display screen. Through NITT DoCoMo, the smartphone has a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. It also sports a 13MP camera and a 3000mAh battery. The Japanese Optimus G Pro measures 139 x 70 x 9.9mm.
