She wound up seeking solace from her loneliness in an online companion she thought could make all of her problems go away, but now Meri Brown's online affair and catfishing scandal has led to some major fallout with her husband Kody on Sister Wives.

In a sneak peek clip for the season seven premiere, Kody and Meri head to therapy to deal with the emotional fallout of Meri's affair with someone she believed was a man named Sam Cooper, but was really a woman named Jackie Overton, who catfished her and later released her letters, voicemails, and other private confessions about how she wanted to leave Kody to the world. And it quickly becomes clear in the clip that Kody is also hurting from the scandal, because it becomes even clearer to him that Meri has been unhappy in their relationship.

"You didn't want to be out of the family, you just wanted to be out of your relationship with me," he says.

"Kody, this person got so far into my head that I didn't know what end was up sometimes. And I'm still trying to get her out of there," Meri admits.

Kody also appears to reflect on the time when Meri was carrying on her affair, and realizes that it was the reason that he had a hard time connecting with her during that time period.

"You seemed so angry, I didn't feel like I could get to you. I didn't feel like we could talk," he says.

Then, in a shocking twist, Meri admits she was angry with Kody, and that the anger she had over their long-neglected relationship was what led her to fall into such a twisted and deceptive trap.

"There were times I was angry at you, Kody. I'm not going to lie," she says. "I was angry at you. Because, if you and I had taken better care of our relationship. Then I wouldn't have been in such a vulnerable place and I would have been open to other friendships that wouldn't lead to this kind of deception and evil. So I was angry at you for not being there for me."

Sister Wives season 7 premieres Sunday, May 8 at 8 p.m. on TLC.
