Jelly Bean Update for Galaxy S2, Samsung, Released by Virgin Mobile USA Following Sprint [VIDEO]
Following in the footsteps of major U.S. carrier Sprint, who already pushed out the Samsung Galaxy S2 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, Samsung and Virgin Mobile USA now offer the Virgin Mobile Galaxy S2 Jelly Bean update.
The Virgin Mobile USA Galaxy S2 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update is now currently available for free also for those that wish to upgrade from Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to Android 4.1, Gotta Be Mobile reported April 5. Sprint was the first major carrier in the U.S. to offer Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S2. The website also confirmed with owners of the smartphone that the update is available. Samsung stated on its official website that the Android 4.1, Jelly Bean "is the fastest and smoothest version of Android yet." The company also said Jelly Bean "improves on the simplicity and beauty of Android 4.0, and introduces a new Google search experience on Android."
The Samsung Galaxy S2 has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display and a camera with 8 mega pixel AF with LED Flash, plus 2 mega pixels in the front. It runs on a Dual Core Application Processor and has a 8.49 mm slim design.
