Her scandal rocked her family and everything that had been previously revealed about them on their show Sister Wives, and now, Meri Brown is opening up even more about the abuse she suffered at the hands of her Catfisher last year.

After her divorce from Kody, Meri struck up an online relationship and emotional affair with a man she believed was named Sam Cooper, and was revealed to even potentially be planning to leave her family behind to instead pursue a life with him, However, she later learned that Sam didn't exist, and was actually a woman named Jackie Overton, who has since released voicemails, photos and other mementos of their exchanges together.

Now, as part of a new special airing Sunday on TLC, Meri opens up even more about her experience and reveals the threats she received from both "Sam" and the friend she eventually met, a woman named Lindsay.

In a preview clip for the special, Meri reveals when the flirtation started, she didn't think much of it because she had naturally flirty relationships with other male friends in her life, but the connection quickly became clear. However, she still didn't want to explore anything because she was still married to Kody spiritually.

"It sounded like a guy with a southern accent. We laughed a lot. It was easy to connect with him, just because there was so much in common," she says in the clip. "He was very, very flirty with me. And I have guy friends and I am a little bit flirty too."

"He's like, 'I really feel like I love you.' And I'm like, 'I'm married. I mean, nothing's happening,'" she continued.

However, she had a hard time even convincing "Sam" to meet with her in person, with things always coming up and getting in the way of the two having face-to-face contact, which led to the meeting with Lindsay, which Brown admitted made her uncomfortable.

"There was some excuse why he couldn't, but she showed up. I was not comfortable around her," she said. "I just got the creeps from her. But I'm sitting here trying to be nice from her, because this is a friend of his."

However, Lindsay quickly began making threats, which Sam echoed, which scared her, and eventually led to her trying to call things off.

"She basically told me, 'Don't ever screw with us. Don't mess with him. Don't hurt him. I will ruin your life. And I will ruin your family,'" Meri recalls.

The special, Catching the Catfisher, airs Sunday, May 22 at 9 p.m. on TLC.
