Hawaii Five-0's season 7 villain is someone you will never see coming.

Garbiel's (Christopher Sean) reign of terror came to an end in the abandoned warehouses of Chinatown (and at the hand of a trigger-happy junkie, no less), but paradise will give rise to a new big bad before Five-0 can catch their breath.

When Hawaii Five-0 returns this fall, viewers will learn that the biggest threats can come from the most surprising places.

"[It's] somebody very unexpected, I think," showrunner Peter Lenkov teased, according to Entertainment Weekly.

We have a few suspects in mind, but, from what Lenkov's said, it doesn't look like any of our theories will pan out. The Five-0 rouge's gallery is chock a block with unsavory characters, but there's a good chance writers will look outside the current H50 ohana for their next baddie. Shioma, for one, can definitely be crossed off the list.

"She's not part of that, but definitely we have to [address her] at some point, because she's definitely out there in the wind," Lenkov announced in the wake of the Yakuza leader's little disappearing act.

Could the Wo Fat storyline furnish the Aloha State with another villain? McGarrett's (Alex O'Loughlin) adoptive brother bit the dust last year, opening up a power vacuum that Gabirel capitalized on. Now that the malefactor's father is in the picture, however, it's a safe to say McGarrett will have his hands full next year.

"It's going to be a part of a story next year. It's something bigger in mind, but I had to plant it in there at the end," Lenkov said of Steve's trip to Africa. "You're going to realize it's more than what happened in that meeting. It's not like McGarrett's hiding anything, it's more what Wo-Fat's father has in mind."
