Gloria (Selenis Leyva) will have plenty of drama to deal with in the fourth season of Netflix's Orange Is the New Black.

Season 3 was an eventful one for Gloria. The inmate had conflict with Sophia (Laverne Cox) due to the latter's son having a bad influence on her own son. The conflict escalated at the end of the season, with Sophia getting a beatdown and promptly put in solitary confinement.

Leyva spoke with Entertainment Weekly about where Gloria is at in her relationship with Sophia.

"You're going to see her struggling with the Sophia relationship still," Leyva said. "She really does struggle with it, and I love that about Gloria, that she's taking responsibility for her actions, which I really admire about the character that they've written so brilliantly."

Meanwhile, Gloria is also dealing with Red (Kate Mulgrew) taking back the kitchen.

"We're going to see her try to stay out of the mess that's happening with the Latinas, but Gloria is a force to be reckoned with," Leyva said. "I think that she's the voice of reason of that group and you're going to see that play itself out even more so in season 4."

Season 4 looks decidedly darker in nature than the previous three seasons, at least based on the trailer Netflix released recently. Interpersonal conflict within the inmate population is teased, in addition to the influx of new prisoners they now have to deal with. There's also the new corporate leadership at the prison, which will surely lead to some major drama.

"You know the difference between pain and suffering?" says Pennsatucky (Taryn Manning) at the end of the trailer. "Pain is always there. But suffering is a choice."

Orange Is the New Black season 4 will drop on Netflix on Friday, June 17.
