A ricin letter has been sent to President Obama, just days after the horrific Boston Marathon bombing.

The letter addressed to Obama, laced with ricin, has been intercepted at a screening facility.

The letter comes just a day after another ricin-laced letter was sent to Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi. The letter sent to the president is just one of two that was found after the first letter was sent to Wicker.

Fox News' Chad Pergram tweeted this morning that the same sender who sent the letter to Wicker sent a letter to Obama that had been intercepted.

"Fox confirms that in addition to Wicker letter, another intercepted letter was sent to President Obama," he tweeted.

Just minutes after his first post, Chad tweeted: "Letter sent to Obama from same sender in MS that also sent letter to Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS)."

Obama never came near the letter, as the screening facility is away from the White House where he resides. Authorities may already know who the sender of the suspicious letter may be. It's someone who "writes a lot of letters to members," said Sen. Claire McCaskill.

The nation has been on high alert since the twin bombings on Monday that killed 3 and injured 176. High security has been put in place in major cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and San Francisco.
