Dick Van Dyke was forced to cancel an upcoming New York appearance due to symptoms from an undiagnosed neurological disorder.

The 87-year-old actor was due to appear at the 92nd Street Y next week but has but has now bowed out, according to ET. Although he was supposed to receive the institution's Lifetime Achievement Award for Bettering Humanity through Comedy, Van Dyke's rep stated that it would not be possible as he is suffering form "fatigue and lack of sleep resulting from symptoms of a yet-to-be diagnosed neurological disorder."

While the actor has had a battery of tests and scans, doctors have yet to find the source of the problem. However, the Diagnosis Murder star is advised against air travel in the meantime, reports the USA Today.

Van Dyke reached out to Twitter for advice, disclosing that he has "every test you can think of (CAT Scan, MRI, Spinal tap etc)" during the last seven years of symptoms.

"My head bangs every time I lay down. I've had every test come back that I'm perfectly healthy. Anybody got any ideas?" Van Dyke asked his followers.

Fans replied in by the dozen, trying to suss out the cause of the comedian's discomfort, blaming everything from sinus problems to improper pillow positioning.

However, Van Dyke's rep assured the Huffington Post that asides from the fatigue, the actor is "otherwise in good physical condition."
