The Summer Olympic trials continue Friday with track and field and gymnastic events - and you can watch them live online.

The Olympic trials are being covered on various media platforms, including NBC, NBCSN and live streaming on NBCOlympics.com. On the docket for Friday is the Men's discus throw final as well as the women's 100m hurdles and the Men's steeplechase finals in the U.S. Track and Field trials. Friday also includes the beginning of the Women's gymnastics trials.

The Men's discus throw final begins at 6 p.m. ET and will air on NBCSN. It will also be streaming here on the NBC Olympics website.

Then the Women's 100m hurdles and men's steeplechase finals begin at 8 p.m. ET, airing on NBC as well as live streaming here

The top three finishers from the Men's discus throw final and the Men's steeplechase will advance automatically to the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in August. As for the Women's 100m hurdles, up to six athletes can make the trip.

The Women's gymnastics trials will begin at 9 p.m. ET, airing on NBC as well as streaming here.

Meanwhile, Antonio Abete, who works for Filmmaster Events, recently revealed the budget progress for Rio as compared to the 2012 London Summer Olympics.

"The budget is completely different. We cannot say the real numbers, firstly because we are not allowed, but secondly because it's really difficult to know what the real number is," he said. "It's much less than London. It's because in Brazil everyone knows what the situation is, economically and politically. It's correct to invest money in the opening ceremony, but I think it's also correct to invest the right money. We are completely confident we can create an amazing show, without spending the huge amounts that the previous Olympic ceremonies had."
